Spinal Health:

Absolute Balance Chiropractic offers you the latest Chiropractic techniques for your neck and back pain. The newest correction methods are very safe, comfortable, and effective in giving relief to your body's needs.

Extremity Adjusting/Sports & Occupational Injuries

This is an effective method for treating extremity problems such as plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, knee and ankle pain, tennis elbow, shoulder pain, and tingling/burning in the hands or feet. Along with adjusting these parts of the body, we also use physiotherapy on extremity problems.  Most treatment plans can also include a rehabilitation phase to help get you back to work or back on the playing field very quickly.

Spinal Decompression:

Spinal Decompression is the latest, state-of-the art, conservative treatment for spinal pain disorders. A non-surgical, traction based treatment for herniated or bulging discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica and spandylosis. Many patients - some with MRI documented disc herniation - have achieved 'good' to 'excellent' results and have been saved from spinal surgery.

Pediatric and Childhood Care:

It's a necessity to check the nervous system of every child or newborn in your family. No matter what age, from a few days to a few years, it is never too early to have an optimal functioning nervous system while a young one is developing. There is presently a lot of research on how effective chiropractic care is for children and how effectively they develop, especially with regards to their immune system. Children under chiropractic care have shown to not be as sick as often as children that are not under chiropractic care.

Nutritional Counseling:

Dr. Knight will provide recommendations and constructs a meal plan that adapts to your daily routine and pursuit to overall health and well-being.  We also provide top notch supplements at your request.

Graston Technique:

Is performed with patented stainless-steel instruments designed to detect and treat soft-tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation in order to reduce pain and restore function. When connective tissue, such as muscle, ligaments or tendons become restricted or scarred, it can result in pain, tenderness, loss of flexibility and motion. It is not unusual to find a restriction in one part of the body that produces pain and dysfunction in another area, commonly known as the kinetic chain.

Kinesio Tape:

The Kinesio Tape Method, developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase, went global in 2004 with the Summer Olympics.  Traditional taping methods restrict movement and range of motion, whereas kinesio tape uses a technique that works with the body allowing muscle support and full range of motion, therefore allowing the affected area to be rehabilitated. Kinesio tape is a latex free, hypoallergenic, cotton fiber tape with an acrylic heat-activated backing and has no imbedded medicinal properties.  The thickness and weight of the tape is designed to mimic the thickness and weight of the skin.  It inhibits pain by lifting the skin, thereby improving blood flow and lymph which normalizes muscular functions and corrects joint movement.  One application lasts for three to five days making it a cost effective technique and is safe for pediatric to geriatric populations. For athletes this technique allows a faster return to play.

Cold Laser:

Many practices are evolving to include cold laser therapy. Cold lasers are sometimes called Low Level Lasers (LLL) or soft lasers. The cold laser produces an impulse of light at a specific wavelength that minimizes reflection and scattering but maximized absorption of the energy at a desire depth. The goal of laser therapy is to deliver light energy units from infrared laser radiation, called photons, to damaged cells to bring them to a stable and healthy state. Cold laser therapy can treat: Acute and chronic pain, Ligament sprains, Muscle strain, Soft tissue injuries, Tendonitis, Arthritis, Tennis elbow, Back pain, Bursitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia.

Active Rehabilitation:

Over time or as a result of a specific injury, muscles and connective tissue can become overused when other muscles and tissue are too weak to function. As a result misalignments and imbalances develop in the body making the body more susceptible to injury or in a state of chronic pain. Or an injury may have already occurred. In either case, we have designed a program of corrective exercises to strengthen and stabilize weak areas and bring the body into better balance. Each patient in the program undergoes a total body evaluation to identify their unique needs. As part of the evaluation we will discuss your normal daily routine while evaluating posture and movement patterns that may be causing overuse. A treatment plan is developed that includes corrective exercises, which are performed under supervision for a specified amount of time.

Massage Therapy:

Our massage therapy services are customized to meet therapeutic or relaxation needs. Research studies show massage reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, and increases endorphins (enhancing medical treatment). It also can hasten and lead to a more complete recovery from exercise or injury. Massage has been proven beneficial in treating cancer related fatigue, sleep disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, low back pain, spinal cord injury, autism, post-operative surgery, age-related disorders, infertility, eating disorders, smoking cessation, and depression.
